If you have federal student loans starting July 2009 borrowers loan payments can adjust their maximum monthly depending on their income. Also after 25 years of qualifying payments they will forgive any remaining debt.
Example: if you have a family of two and never make more then 20k a year your monthly would be 0 and after 25 years (or 10 if you work in public services) then they would forgive your debt!
Example: If your single and work in retail for about $9 an hour full time your maximum monthly would be 2.8% of your INCOME. That means in a year you would pay $504 at MOST and in 25 years anything left would automatically be forgiven.
It's a program you can simply apply by calling in, take advantage of these money saving programs while the government is trying to help people in this economy.
